Ido Ramot is a German–Israeli pianist, composer, and improviser known for his genre-bending and innovative approach to performance. Seamlessly blending original composition with real-time improvisation, he creates concert experiences that are both deeply personal and artistically bold. As an ambassador for Jewish and Middle Eastern musical culture, he brings rich traditions into fresh, contemporary contexts.

Ramot made his orchestral debut at age nine with the Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra and has since performed across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. He has appeared at the Berlin Philharmonie and Konzerthaus, Stuttgart’s Liederhalle, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and the Dubai Opera, and is frequently featured on Israeli, German, and Italian radio and television.

He is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions, including the Gold Medal at the Maria Canals International Piano Competition (Barcelona), First Prize at the Chopin Competition (Tel Aviv), double winner of the “Piano Forever” Competition (Ashdod), a prizewinner at the European Piano Competition (Bremen), and Third Prize at Les Étoiles du Piano (Lille).

Ramot has worked closely with Dr. Itzhak Kossov, Prof. Alexander Korsantia, and Prof. Eldar Nebolsin, and continues his artistic collaboration with renowned pianist Gabriela Montero

Ramot is the co-founder and co-artistic director of the 'La Casa dell'Arte' Music Festival in Tuscany.

Ido Ramot ist ein deutsch-israelischer Pianist, Komponist und Improvisator mit einem genreübergreifenden und innovativen Zugang zur Musik. In seinen Konzerten verbindet er nahtlos Improvisation und eigene Kompositionen und schafft so bewegende Klangwelten jenseits stilistischer Grenzen. Als musikalischer Botschafter jüdischer und nahöstlicher Kultur bringt er deren Klangtraditionen in einen zeitgemäßen, künstlerisch freien Kontext.

Ido Ramot ist sich seiner Verantwortung als Jude sehr bewusst und sieht es als Teil seiner künstlerischen Mission, durch Musik Aufmerksamkeit für Antisemitismus zu schaffen und kulturelle Brücken zu bauen.

Sein Orchesterdebüt gab er im Alter von neun Jahren mit dem Johannesburg Symphony Orchestra. Seitdem trat er als Solist auf führenden Bühnen in Europa, dem Nahen Osten und den USA auf – darunter die Berliner Philharmonie, das Konzerthaus Berlin, die Liederhalle Stuttgart, das Tel Aviv Museum of Art und die Dubai Opera. Er ist regelmäßig in Rundfunk- und Fernsehsendungen in Israel, Deutschland und Italien zu hören.

Ramot ist Preisträger zahlreicher Wettbewerbe, darunter die Goldmedaille beim Maria-Canals-Klavierwettbewerb in Barcelona, der Erste Preis beim Chopin-Wettbewerb in Tel Aviv, zweifacher Gewinner des „Piano Forever“-Wettbewerbs in Ashdod, Preisträger beim Europäischen Klavierwettbewerb in Bremen sowie Dritter Preis beim Wettbewerb „Les Étoiles du Piano“ in Lille. Zudem wurde er mit dem exklusiven Exzellenzstipendium der America-Israel Cultural Foundation ausgezeichnet.

Ramot hat eng mit Dr. Itzhak Kossov, Prof. Alexander Korsantia und Prof. Eldar Nebolsin zusammengearbeitet und setzt seine künstlerische Zusammenarbeit mit der renommierten Pianistin Gabriela Montero fort.

Er ist Mitbegründer und künstlerischer Co-Leiter des Musikfestivals ‚La Casa dell'Arte‘ in der Toskana.
